Housing Authority Takes Ownership

The Housing Authority has taken ownership of its 12 acre site at North Housing. Installation of fencing to secure the site is anticipated to begin Wednesday, June 26th. Security and maintenance concerns may be reported to the Housing Authority maintenance line: (510) 747-4317 or maintenance@alamedahsg.org. The Housing Authority responds to emergency health and safety issues first, and then addresses work orders in the order in which they are received.

The redevelopment of the site remains a long-term process and no housing units or applications are available at this time. Sign up for the North Housing newsletter to be informed of project updates, including when applications become available.

Site Fence Permit Application

In anticipation of land transfer, the Housing Authority has applied for a permit to erect a fence around its site. The City, per its requirement for this type of application, has posted notice on-site and property owners within 300 ft of the site have/will receive notice of this shortly via USPS.

Once the land transfers to Housing Authority ownership, the Housing Authority intends to erect fencing as one piece of securing the site. This fencing will be in four “block” sections to allow through roadways to remain open. Please see link below to the City provided mailer with project description and hearing information as well as the outline of AHA’s fencing plan.
